GIGS Studio Policies

- Private Lessons consist of 1 student.  Rates for Private Lessons are $30 per half hour.

- Small Group Lessons consist of 2-4 students.  Rates for Small Group Lessons are $25 per half hour per student.

- Large Group Lessons consist of 5-8 students.  Rates for Large Group Lessons are $20 per half hour per student.

- Payment for the upcoming month is due the last lesson of the current month. 

- The payment of monthly tuition reserves a place for students for the upcoming month. There are NO make-ups, refunds or credits for missed lessons.  If a student has a conflict and cannot make his/her lesson that week, if given prior notice, we will do our best to reschedule that lesson.  However, we cannot guarantee that the lesson will be made up. 

- Should it become necessary for a teacher to miss an appointment due to extraordinary circumstances, students will be provided with a substitute teacher, almost always another teacher from the GIGS staff.

- During snow or severe weather events, GIGS will follow the Montgomery County School System.  If Montgomery County Schools are closed for the day, GIGS will be closed.  If Montgomery County Schools close early or if all county sponsored afternoon activities are cancelled, GIGS will be closed.  If Montgomery County Schools have any delay, GIGS will be open.  Just as private schools don’t prorate tuition for weather cancellations, NO lesson credits will be given for lessons missed because of inclement weather or school closings. 

- In the event a student should wish to terminate lessons at GIGS, a two-week notice MUST be given prior to the last class.
